Cranial Anatomy in 3D

ABOUT
Inspired by the beauty and function of cranial anatomy, our mission is to bring high fidelity 3D exploration to students, teachers, and practitioners of Osteopathic Cranial Manipulative Medicine. Each model is built using hundreds of photos of real bone.
Modeling any complex living system is rife with limitations. In comparison to the elegance and precision of living anatomy, this model falls short in every way. The specific locations of axes, “normal” motion, & strain pattern expressions — in reality, living bone is fluid and dynamic — individual variation abounds, intraosseous motions contribute, & real strains are often combinations of the archetypes taught. Use this model to build a scaffolding, don’t make it a cage.
